Gotta Start Somewhere

To the guy who told me 8 years ago on Discord "Nobody fucking cares about what you have to say, if you want to talk to the wall go start a blog or something", I hope you're happy now because today I finally did it! I genuinely had no idea how nice a real, actual blog would feel to have. It's like journaling but a lot more fun and flashy. I was about to question why this trend died out honestly and then I remembered we have companies funneling millions of dollars into social media apps and "Microblogs" which at first glance can do exactly what you can do with a website but in reality just cause users to hate themselves and grow more and more angry and disillusioned with the world, rather than, yknow, just write some fun words on a screen and leave it at that.

I think now would be a good a time as any to kind of showcase my goals with the site. First and foremost I really just want this to be a space I have to screw around in, I think it's really fun to have my own little personal corner of the web that isn't just some lame one-page website out there (there's a lot of cool one page sites out there don't get me wrong but still let me have this one, okay?). Secondly, I think this would be a fun place to review and recommend various games (most of which can be found on Steam) as I've had a lot of friends buying into the "gaming is DEAD" doomposting and would love to prove them wrong otherwise by recommending some fun stuff to enjoy for awhile. Last of all (and this one is definitely going to be distant because it requires me to actually work on them bahaha) is my own little programming side projects. Unfortunately I'm very much the type to start and stop projects All. The. Time which is a really nasty habit I'm trying to curb. I'm most recently learning Godot though, and have a fun game in the very early stages that I might decide to share more on soon. Stay tuned!
